A Call to Faith and Freedom is a delightfully written tale which successfully engages the reader from beginning to end. Not only does Author, Shirley Roe share with readers her incredible, in-depth knowledge of the Celtic belief structure, but she also introduces us to realistic characters that we find ourselves cheering at the sidelines for. On a daily basis, her characters face life altering challenges, growth, love and loss. The settings are clearly laid out in amazing detail, so much so that we are able to taste the mead, smell the forests, have hope for the living and even cry for the dead.
A Call to Faith and Freedom is an education in itself; without doubt a story worthy of celebration. The author is to be applauded for her ability to vividly bring to life times long gone and for the most part, sadly forgotten.
