Beginning 1 October 2006 Grizzly Bookz began sponsoring another twice-yearly short-short-story writing contest.
It will continue as long as there are enough entrants. There will be ONE WINNER ONLY.
He/she/it will receive a check for $50, plus a certificate with the title of the winning story and author’s name, and also a one-year subscription to The STORYTELLER magazine, where the story will be published.

All properly submitted stories will be judged by an independent editor. The winner will be notified each January 1st and July 1st. . .Or sooner if I’m not on a book signing tour.
We accept all genres, but The STORYTELLER is a family magazine — submit accordingly.
We do not accept pornography, erotica, graphic horror, graphic language, graphic violence or anything deemed racial or biased toward any religion, race or moral preference.
CONTEST RULES
Submission dates: October 1st through 31st
— April 1st through 30th. All submissions before and after these dates will be deleted.
Maximum word count of story text — 500
Courier 12 point — double-spaced.
—No indent — Separate paragraphs with one extra hit on ENTER.
Use italics for thoughts…[Stan looked up; thinking, I’ve met her before.]
NO ATTACHMENTS.

Include your name—phone number—email address—word count of the text.
Story content will be the primary consideration to choose the winner, BUT good spelling and punctuation will help you win.
—only one story per contest…if you flame out, try again in 6 months.
